Job Summary:
To prepare and submit detailed construction estimates and conduct bid evaluations for commercial interior construction and tenant improvement projects.
Job Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit budget estimates and outline complete scopes of work that encompass all divisions of construction involved within specific projects.
- Ensure that all company standards and jurisdictional code requirements are adhered to by performing cross checks between architectural and engineering drawings, project scope, tenant specifications, and estimate proposal provided by bidding subcontractors.
- Coordinate with leasing agents, design professionals, project managers, and clients to discuss and resolve matters such as tenant and lease obligations, work procedures, specifications, and construction issues.
- Review bids and scopes to assist with the selection of the best value subcontractors to provide services on tenant improvement projects.
- Negotiate, coordinate, and track historical unit costs with subcontractors.
- Maintain a detailed historical unit cost ledger to ensure vendor billing complies with submitted billing.
- Coordinate RFI requests to guarantee proper and accurate information is communicated in a timely manner to all involved with the project.
- Meet with tenants to discuss potential construction within their leased space.
Job Qualifications:
- Commercial construction experience with a minimum of 5 years or more of experience estimating, supervising, and/or managing construction projects.
- Commercial interiors experience preferred.
- Broad general knowledge of all construction trades and scopes of work.
- Bachelor’s degree required with a specialization in Construction Management or Engineering or an equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Project, MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Bluebeam.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Diligent organizational skills and a clear ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
- Dedication to client service and customer delight.

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
