Overview

Job Responsibilities
- Adhere to all NCAA, conference, institutional and departmental guidelines and policies
- Demonstrate leadership and professional behavior when dealing with all constituent groups, including prioritizing student-athletes, athletics department coaches and staff, and all members of the University community
- Serve as liaison with dining services and residential life to coordinate meal schedules and housing during school breaks and pre-season (5%)
- Coordinate all transportation logistics including chartering buses, ensuring vehicle maintenance, scheduling drivers and processing payroll (20%)
- Manage schedules for all athletic facilities, coordinating with athletic teams, intramural sports, club sports, and visiting teams (20%)
- Hire, train and supervise all student employees for various positions within the department (20%)
- Athletic Staff Supervision (10%)
- Assists in the hiring of coaches and athletic administrators
- Sports administrator for various sport coaches
- Serve as liaison to human resource office, working with athletic leadership to oversee human resource functions including employee onboarding and employee relations (5%)
- Manage game-day operations, including ticket and merchandise supervision, coordinating security, and facility set up (10%)
- Maintain data base of current recreation members and correspondences (5%)
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Recreation (5%)
- Yearly NCAA rules test
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred. Minimum 5 years athletic administration experience at the collegiate level required.
Competencies / Skills
Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills between students, staff, alumni and friends of the University.
Supervision of Employees
Training and supervision of work study students; supervision of sport coaches; supervision of part-time bus drivers.
Work Environment
Well-lighted, well-ventilated work area. Work with students and occasional travel.
Equipment to be Used
Must be able to be proficient in word, excel and able to learn other related computer programs.
