Fostering positive social/emotional development, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are priorities.St. James uses Creative Curriculum, Conscious Discipline and The Pyramid Model as the foundational pieces of our preschool curriculum.We believe in the play-based model of early childhood education.We know that play is the process and learning is the outcome.Our smaller class sizes encourage individual attention in a nurturing environment. Our preschool is open from September through May.We follow the Littleton Public School schedule for breaks during the year. The hours for teachers are 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This is a 5 day/week position.Pay is commensurate with experience and education.Starting pay is between $18-$22 per hour.Apply today to become a member of our exceptional team of professionals.DutiesTeam with teaching partner to plan individual and group play-based activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, parent-teacher conferences and weekly connection lettersEnsure all center policies and state regulations are met.Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.Maintain accurate records, forms and filesAttend monthly staff and planning meetings (First and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 1:30 to 3:30. Our highly qualified staff are committed to nurturing relationships with children and their families.Our program runs from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm Monday through Friday, and we offer 2 day, 3 day, and 5 day options for families.
