Part time Maintenance/Custodial

Overview

Join our team as a Part-Time Maintenance and Custodial Specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety standards that support our operations and enhance the experience for everyone who visits or works here.

Responsibilities

Church and Rolland Center

· Check bulletin for Mass times and activities scheduled.

· Set timers for on & off for heat and air conditioning.

· Replace filters every 3 months.

· Vacuum rugs at front and back entrances.

· Dust & Polish organ, piano, and all tables.

· Keep chairs in line and books in order.

· Dust mop floors in church and Rolland Center twice a week, wet mop once a week.

· Clean windows once a week

· Clean restrooms, toilets, sinks, fill soap and towel dispensers.

· Dust mop and wet mop restrooms twice a week.

· Set up for all activities in Rolland Center.

· Change candles by Holy Family when burned.

· Clean candle holders.

· Change 14 day candle every 2 weeks.

· Change light bulbs as necessary. There are 7 lights that require a high lift to be changed.

Parish Center & Classrooms

· Check bulletin for all activities.

· Set heat and air conditioning timers for ON and OFF.

· Dust mop and wet mop parish center kitchen.

· Clean restrooms, toilets, sinks, fill soap and towel dispensers.

· Set up for any activities (pasta dinners, funeral dinners, Mardi Gras, Christmas parties, group events, elections, etc.).

· Get kitchen ready for baking Easter Bread, Christmas, and all rental activities.

· When activities are over, take down all left-over materials.

· Change filters in furnace and Big AC unit every 3 months.

· Sweep and mop stairwells on either side of center.

· Dust classrooms, vacuum carpet in classrooms, hallway, and office.

· Clean windows in parish center when time permits.

Other General Duties

· Order supplies from R.D. Wilson.

· Go to Lowe’s for supplies when necessary.

· Cut grass and trim.

· Blow debris from courtyard.

· Trim shrubbery

· Plant flowers in courtyard square.

· Rake & blow leaves (bag them up).

· Keep snow and ice shoveled and swept. There is a snow blower.

· Use ice melt as needed.

· Take garbage from church, Rolland center, and Parish center.

· With any leftover time, try to hit all bases that may have gotten pushed to the side.

· Any other duties asked to perform.

Requirements

• Must pass Background check every three years as required by the Diocese of Wheeling/Charleston.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 per week
