Now Hiring: Early Childhood Teacher Assistant
Part-Time | 20–30 hours/week | August–May

Do you have a heart for little ones and a love for Jesus? Join our Early Childhood team at St. James Lutheran School, where faith, laughter, and learning go hand in hand! As an Early Childhood Aide, you’ll support our teachers in creating a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom where every child feels safe, loved, and ready to grow. No two days are the same—you’ll help with activities, giggle during story time, share snacks, and guide children as they discover God’s world around them.
What We’re Looking For
· A joyful spirit and a genuine love for children.
· A team player who communicates well and supports others.
· 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
· Current (or willing to obtain) CPR and First Aid certification.
· Able to lift up to 40 lbs and keep up with active kiddos!
· Committed to living out Christian values both in and outside the classroom.
What You’ll Do
· Partner with our lead teacher to make each day joyful, organized, and full of learning.
· Help set up fun activities, crafts, and play centers.
· Supervise and engage children during playtime, snack time, and rest time.
· Assist with diapering/toileting, cleaning, and classroom organization.
· Build caring relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
· Model Christ’s love through patience, kindness, and encouragement.
· Complete 20 hours of early childhood professional development each year (we’ll help with that!).
