- Manage donations, payroll, bills, taxes, deposits, reports, pension payments, and financial records
- Handle church correspondence, filing, and bookkeeping tasks in a timely manner
- In-person independent contractor position (W-9)
- UP TO 6 hours/week Thursday or Fridays during office hours

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate regularly with the church treasurer
- Maintain financial records, pledges, taxes, and parishioner data in system called Realm
- Process bills, reimbursements, deposits, payroll, and tax payments
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain tax-exempt status
- Prepare:
- Monthly financial reports
- Pledge statements
- Church Pension forms
- W-2s and 1099s
- Order financial supplies (checks, envelopes, forms)
- Support stewardship mailings and administrative tasks
- Maintain the Book of the Living Trust
Qualifications
- Accounting certificate, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent bookkeeping experience
- 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience (church experience is great!)
- Strong technology skills; experience with:
- Realm
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Internet-based systems
- Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to meet deadlines independently
- Professional, flexible, collaborative, and personable
- U.S. work authorization required
- Must be ok to work in secure office alone
