Job Summary

You will handle food preparation, assist customers with their selections, operate POS systems, and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble bakery and deli items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
• Assist customers with product selection, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling when appropriate
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
• Manage food service customer orders, ensuring timely fulfillment and proper handling of food products
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following sanitation guidelines and cleaning protocols
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, refrigerators, and other food preparation tools
• Handle cash register operations, process retail sales transactions, and process cash handling with accuracy
• Support food safety management practices by adhering to sanitation standards and proper food handling procedures
• Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration
• Ensure compliance with all health regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and storage

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation or retail food service is preferred; culinary or café experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices required for safe food handling
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Basic math skills for cash handling, register operations, and inventory management
• Experience working in quick service or fast-food restaurants is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a team while maintaining a positive attitude

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
