We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented School Custodian to join our team at St. Helena Parish School District. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school site.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors by performing daily tasks and duties as assigned by the principal.
- Ensure all classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, and other areas are clean and tidy.
- Clean and maintain floors, walls, and windows throughout the building.
- Remove trash and recyclables from classrooms, restrooms, and other areas.
- Restock supplies and materials as needed.
- Perform light maintenance functions and make minor repairs as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and techniques.
