Saint George is a lively, loving community of faith in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago. The Director of Liturgy at Saint George (part-time) must be a person of faith, finding meaning and joy in a deep relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to serve His People. The nature of the position demands personal presence and a generous heart. The job description is wide-ranging and fluid. The Director of Liturgy works closely with the pastor, clergy and other staff members. The Director is under the direct supervision of the Pastor. Virtus compliance is mandatory.
Among the specific responsibilities are:
Liturgy Coordinator will establish, educate and organize a group of parishioners to create meaningful liturgical celebrations, including Sunday Masses, parish reconciliation services, etc. This ministry is done in collaboration with the priests, deacons and the Director of Music. Regular contact with ministry coordinators (e.g., Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Agape Ministers, altar servers) and richer formation of the Art and Environment Team are required. Familiarity with Liturgical Norms is essential. Leading people closer to Jesus as missionary disciples is our goal.

This position has an annualized salary range of - $20,000 - $25,000. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
