The Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with orthopedic conditions in both clinic and hospital settings. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic orthopedic conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies
- Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and rehabilitation.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Utah
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred but not required
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills
