Spanish Language & Content Teacher K-8

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Spanish Language & Content Teacher for grades K-8 to inspire students in their language learning journey and foster a love for diverse cultures. Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans that integrate Spanish language instruction with content areas such as literacy, math, and social studies, tailored to K-8 students’ developmental levels.
• Develop culturally relevant curriculum materials that promote language acquisition and content mastery while fostering cultural awareness.
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress, assign digital resources, and facilitate communication with students and parents.
• Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance interactive lessons and support differentiated instruction for students with varying needs, including those with disabilities.
• Manage classroom environments effectively through proactive behavior management strategies, ensuring a positive space conducive to learning.
• Assess student understanding through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations and ongoing assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, curriculum development, and school-wide initiatives to support holistic student development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish Language, or related field preferred.
• Proven classroom experience teaching K-8 students in diverse educational settings; private school or Montessori experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques.
• Experience with curriculum development across multiple subjects, including literacy education and math integration.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology tools, and digital resources for remote or hybrid instruction.
• Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those requiring special education accommodations or support for disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills to engage students, collaborate with colleagues, and connect with families.
