Job Summary

The Program and Resource Navigation Coordinator supports the day-to-day implementation and administration of programs that advance the mission of the St. George Community Development Corporation (StGCDC). Working collaboratively with the Executive Director, staff, volunteers, clients, and community partners, this position ensures programs remain responsive to evolving community needs.

Resource navigation is a central responsibility of this role, requiring the ability to connect community members with internal programs and external services, maintain strong collaborative partnerships, and foster a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment for all.

This position also supports organizational communications, including website updates, email newsletters, social media, printed materials, and community outreach efforts.Key Responsibilities 

1. Leadership & Program Management

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all StGCDC programs, including Community Cupboard, Free Fresh Friday, Wood Bank, Baby Boxes, Community Thanksgiving Dinner, and other initiatives
  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee ongoing programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals and community needs
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop, recommend, and implement new programs
  • Support strategic planning and operational priorities
  • Supervise, support, and coordinate staff, volunteers, and interns
  • Develop and maintain effective volunteer coordination systems, including recruitment, scheduling, task assignment, tracking hours, and recordkeeping
  • Foster strong volunteer engagement practices that promote consistency, appreciation, retention, and a positive volunteer experience
  • Communicate regularly with volunteers regarding opportunities, schedules, and organizational needs

2. Client & Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain respectful, professional, and trauma-informed relationships with clients, volunteers, vendors, and community partners
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical standards
  • Develop and maintain accurate client intake and enrollment processes
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource, connecting clients to StGCDC programs and external services
  • Support problem-solving approaches that promote dignity, belonging, and community connection
  • Coordinate with local service agencies and partners to connect clients with housing, healthcare, food access, education, employment, and behavioral health resources
  • Lead outreach efforts to increase awareness of StGCDC programs and services

3. Communications, Marketing & Reporting

  • Collaborate on organizational communications including website, newsletters, social media, and printed materials
  • Collect and report client and program data in accordance with reporting requirements
  • Work with the Executive Director and staff to track and analyze program data monthly
  • Prepare program updates, reports, and presentations for leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities

4. Financial & Administrative Support

  • Submit donations, invoices, and deposits to the Bookkeeper and Executive Director in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to monitor program budgets and track expenses
  • Collect and process cash donations with accurate documentation and reporting

5. Facility & Property Oversight

  • Support maintenance and day-to-day operations of the facility at 47 Main Street, Tenants Harbor
  • Ensure the space remains clean, safe, accessible, and compliant with applicable standards

6. Additional Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide program coverage as needed
  • Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and commitment to community service

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in nonprofit work, social services, community programs, case management, or related field preferred
  • BA/BS degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience considered
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including experience working with diverse populations
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with client tracking systems, databases, or reporting tools a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Essential Functions

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
  • Ability to hear, see, and communicate effectively in individual and group settings
