DESCRIPTION
Due to our expansion, the St. Francis House is hiring for a Kitchen Assistant. We are seeking a PT or Full Time Kitchen Assistants who will be under the supervision of the Food Service Coordinator to perform the following duties:
Assist with preparing, serving and storing food properly.
Maintain a safe and clean kitchen
Operate commercial kitchen equipment
Processing incoming donated food
Provide quality customer service to our guests, donors and volunteers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum age of 18 years.
High School diploma or GED Certification
Ability to lift up to #50 with assistance
Serve Safe Certificate a plus, but not required
Basic institutional kitchen knowledge preferred, but not required
Outstanding personal hygiene.
Ability to communicate both verbally and written to guests, staff and volunteers.
Seeking a self starter and attention to detail
Ability to work rotating weekends, evenings and holidays
