We are looking for a motivated Finance Director to join our team. If you have previous experience working with Non-Profit finances, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Finance Director will be be able to perform a broad range of financial responsibilities.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Finance Director position is highly responsible administrative work involving the direction of a broad range of finance responsibilities. The position requires excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), as well as excellent knowledge, skill, and ability in every phase of Non- Profit financial management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or public administration from an accredited college or university, ten (10) years of direct, progressive, responsible financial management experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to provide a representative list of the various types of work that may be performed. Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the position, and this position may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
- All financial accounting and reporting, including but not limited to the following functions: payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, general ledger, fixed assets, and bank reconciliation. Revenue, cash, and debt management. Income generation Coordinates and assists the CEO with financial management.
- Administration of the annual budget process.
- Evaluation and monitoring of all expenditures ensuring prevention of over-expenditure of budget line items, and proper categorization of all expenditures.
- Plans for the implementation of financial goals and objectives.
- Provides training of departmental personnel as necessary for the performance of their duties.
- Participates in various insurance reviews and negotiations.
- Excellent ability in oral and written communications, interpersonal skills, supervisory skills, and the mathematics of financial management.
- Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.
- Attention to detail and timely completion of assignments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the laws, regulations, and standards pertaining to financial management. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration as applied to a wide range of non- profit functions. Comprehensive ability to effectively monitor and assure the high-level performance of the Finance Department.
- Comprehensive ability to analyze the operations and to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Excellent working knowledge of and skilled use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Donor Data Bases.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
