Company Description
Little Falls Health Services is a 32 bed skilled nursing facility. We are currently in the process of constructing another 32 resident rooms and then will be a 64 bed facility.
Job Description
Coordinates resident care on assigned wing by conducting shift meetings with nursing assistants to address resident care issues, ensuring that nursing assistant duties are responsibilities are accomplished in a timely and
quality manner are reporting difficulties to charge nurse.
Monitors and observes resident care and reports adverse reactions or conditions to charge nurse.
Administers prescribed medications and performs treatments for residents
Documents medication administration, resident conditions, behaviors and weekly charting in accordance with facility policy.
Assembles and uses such equipment as tube feeding equipment, catheters, tracheotomy tubes, oxygen suppliers, IV equipment, and other equipment used for resident care.
Collects samples, such as urine, wound and sputum from residents for testing and performs Glucometers testing for residents.
Gives detailed report of resident condition to in-coming shift personal.
Assist RN’s with IV medications by maintaining and discontinuing IV therapy.
Assists with emergency situations.
Adheres to Lutheran Care Center Policies and Procedures.
Follows Minnesota Nurse Practice Act
Functions as an LPN under standards of nursing practice.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
One year certificate from college or technical school. Current and active LPN license. Continuing education Credits in Two Years.
Maintain CPR Certification.
