Cardiovascular Technologist description
The Cardiovascular Technologist assists the physician in performing various procedures such as: Heart Catheterizations, Peripheral procedures, Pacemaker and ICD Implantations, Ablations, Interventional Radiology, etc.
The tech will need to become proficient in using the xray equipment in the procedural area.
FLSA: Non-exempt
Qualifications
X High school diploma or equivalent X Required
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Must be registered by one of the following: Registered Vascular Sonographer through ARDMS or Registered through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
One-year experience is preferred.
Availability
Must be available to take call, work weekends and Holidays on a rotating basis.
