Full-Time Liturgy and Music Associate
St. Francis de Sales Parish – Paducah, Kentucky
St. Francis de Sales Parish in Paducah, Kentucky, is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Full-Time Liturgy and Music Associate to lead and coordinate the parish’s liturgical celebrations and music ministry.
The Liturgy and Music Associate will work collaboratively with the pastor, parish staff, musicians, cantors, and volunteers to plan and coordinate meaningful liturgies that reflect the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church. This individual will help foster active participation in the liturgy through music, prayer, and thoughtful liturgical planning.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
· Plan and coordinate liturgies for weekend Masses, Holy Days, and other parish celebrations.
· Select appropriate music in accordance with the liturgical calendar and Catholic Church teachings.
· Direct and coordinate parish music ministries, including cantors, choirs, instrumentalists, and volunteers.
· Collaborate with the pastor and parish staff on liturgical planning and special celebrations.
· Recruit, develop, and support musicians and volunteers.
· Demonstrate strong musical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
· Possess a strong understanding of Catholic liturgy and a commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church.
Candidates should have relevant musical experience and knowledge of Catholic liturgical practices. Experience in parish music ministry, choral direction, and instrumental accompaniment is preferred.
