Overview: Provides Birth to Three Early Intervention services in the child’s natural environment as described in the IFSP and using the Primary Coach Approach to Teaming model. Future potential to provide pediatric outpatient therapy on-site.
- Serves as the Primary Service Provider, Secondary Service Provider, or other team member for children as assigned.
- Evaluates children using the DAYC-2 or other standardized/norm-referenced evaluation and assessment tools per direction of the program
- Reviews doctor’s orders and insurance authorization before completing evaluations
- Performs the initial therapy evaluation within established guidelines, and completes plan of care regarding child’s progress every 90 days, or as specified by insurance company
- In partnership with the family and their Service Coordinator, creates and reviews IFSP focusing on the family’s routines, cultural practices, traditions and goals
- Provides ongoing Early Intervention services to families and other caregivers, both in-person and virtually, using Primary Coaching model
- Models and demonstrates a variety of behavior techniques to help children demonstrate positive behaviors that meet the goals established by the family, including redirection, prevention, consistent clear rules, logical or natural consequences, and problem-solving
- Complies with mandated Agency, County, State and Federal regulations and timelines
- Communicates regularly and effectively with internal and external team members regarding the needs of the family, the progress of the child and all other components of the program
- Actively coaches team members at weekly meetings, sharing effective techniques and best practices
- Maintains accurate and detailed case notes and submits service unit reports on or before the deadline
- Attends trainings as required or needed
- Serves as a positive role model and an ambassador for St. Francis Children’s Center and for Milwaukee County
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children’s developmental, motor, sensory, and functional abilities
using standardized and clinical tools.
• Reviews doctor’s orders and insurance authorization before completing evaluations
• Performs the initial therapy evaluation within established guidelines, and completes plan of care
regarding child’s progress every 90 days, or as specified by insurance company
• Interprets evaluation results to the family and physician, treating all involved with respect and cultural
humility
• Administers treatment techniques including therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, dynamic
activities, ROM, NDT, MFR, ADL’s, SI, fine motor skills, developmental skill development, etc.
• Incorporates goals and objectives from all developmental areas into an evidenced based treatment plan
and providing ongoing treatment according to the child’s needs
• Consults with physicians and community professionals as required to meet the child’s emotional and
developmental needs
• Demonstrates proficiency in the use of therapy equipment
• Educates, trains, supports and provides families and caregivers with functional activities oriented to the
goals and objectives that have been established for the child, modifying them as appropriate to conform
to the context of their daily routines and traditions
• Maintains and submits all paperwork, billing, case notes and reports in a timely manner
• Actively participates in all required meetings and works cooperatively with all team members
• Works with Director of Therapy Services to ensure all files are audit compliant
• Serves as a positive ambassador for St. Francis Children’s Center

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational Therapy
· State of Wisconsin Occupational Therapy license
· Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and may not have more than three current minor driving violations and/or one current at-fault accident on your record. Auto insurance must include
$100,000/$300,000 bodily injury and $100,000 property damage
· State of Wisconsin Occupational Therapy license
· Bi-Lingual Preferred.
