What are the responsibilities and job description for the H VAC Technician position at ST Engineering?
The HVAC Technician shall be responsible to the Facilities Lead. Performs general and specialized maintenance and repair of HVAC units and their mechanical and electrical systems.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.0 Installation of HVAC units, to include electronic and mechanical components.
2.0 Installation of HVAC ductwork, including flex tubing and sheet metal construction.
3.0 Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units including electronic and mechanical components.
4.0 Conserve, install and recycle CFC and HCFC refrigerants.
- Install or repair electrical connections to HVAC components.
- Daily repairs and checks of HVAC systems
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Must be HVAC certified in the State of Texas
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
SUPERVISION: Under direction. Normally performs duties according to his or her own judgment requesting supervisory assistance only when necessary.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: A moderate level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with various departments, co-workers and supervision.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Requires easy mobility around all sections of the facility and the dexterity to install various electrical, mechanicals, plumbing systems. Must possess the ability to distinguish colors to perform work adequately. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and report to work regularly.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years maintenance experience required. At least one technical schools within his/her field required/or the equivalent in years of experience.
