B6 BMC Brighton is a Telemetry unit is a 32-bed unit providing care for intermediate level medical-surgical patients. The patient population consists of a wide range of general medical diagnoses and conditions with a specialty of Cardiology. Position: Registered Nurse
Department: Med-Surg - Telemetry - 6W
Schedule: 36 hours, Night Shift, 7pm-7:30am
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
- Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information
- Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC's nursing organization
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN, Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life support(ACLS) certification required 90 days of hire
- PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire
EXPERIENCE:
- 1 years of RN experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
- Basic computer proficiency
Compensation Range:
$39.80- $93.69This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
