We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Full-Time School and Church Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across school and church premises
- Conduct detailed floor care such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance
- Operate commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently to ensure all areas are hygienic and presentable
- Maintain restrooms by disinfecting fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring proper sanitation
- Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and facility upkeep
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed
- Support special event setups or cleanups as required within the school or church facilities
- Mowing and snow removal duties are also included.
- HVAC/Boiler operation and maintencance
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance roles; experience with floor care such as buffing is highly desirable
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and industrial cleaning equipment
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and availability for full-time hours; flexibility to work early mornings or evenings if needed
