Position Summary
Job Summary and Qualifications
The CT Technologist at the Freestanding Emergency Room and Urgent Care Clinic is responsible for performing CT procedures that are in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and Hospital Policies and Procedures. Optimizes the use of radiation by utilizing the concepts of Image Gently and Image Wisely by the American College of Radiology. The CT Technologist demonstrates knowledge of the human structure and functions, patient care/safety, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection, medication safety (contrast) and specialized techniques. Maintains professional judgment and conduct that is complimentary of the ARRT Code of Ethics and St. David’s Healthcare Values.
Education
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology; and
One year experience performing Computed Tomography procedures is preferred.

Education
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology; and
- CT curriculum covering 3 semester hours of Sectional Anatomy; or
- 16 hours post graduate CEU’s Cross Sectional Anatomy
One year experience performing Computed Tomography procedures is preferred.
Licensed/Certification Required
- Certified or Temporary Certified by Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist; and
- Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT, RTR);and
- Post- primary CT certification within 1yearof CT assignment; and
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
