- Job Summary and Qualifications
- You will provide evidence-based nutrition counseling to patients on modified diets
- You will conduct nutritional screenings and assessments of patients
- You will collaborate with physicians to coordinate and implement nutritional recommendations
- You will identify and communicate potential nutritional implications of medications and document this information in patients' records
- You will assist the Food Service Department Dietary Aides with patient food selection and which foods are allowed and disallowed based on the prescribed diet
- 1 year of clinical nutrition experience in an acute care hospital setting – preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with successful completion of American Dietetic Association (ADA) approved internship or coordinated undergraduate program
- Registered Dietitian (R.D.) credential or eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of initial employment
- Licensed Dietitian (L.D.) with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Dieticians within 6 months of initial employment
- 6 months experience Required Years of Experience
