Full Service Community School Site Coordinator Reports to: Director of Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) Classification: Full-Time, 12-Month Professional Position (240 days) SALARY: $65,000 - $85,000 Position Purpose The Community School Site Coordinator serves as the strategic leader and heartbeat of the school's community-facing operations. This role blends high-level system design with "on-the-ground" relationship building. You will move beyond simple service coordination to lead systems-change, ensuring that the school functions as a community hub where families feel empowered, students experience belonging, and academic and social-emotional supports are seamlessly integrated. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborative Leadership Asset & Needs Assessment: Lead a comprehensive assessment of school and community assets/needs, prioritizing the "voice" of youth and families to drive the school's strategic plan. Shared Vision: Co-create and maintain a school-wide vision for the FSCS model in collaboration with the District FSCS Director and the Site-Based Leadership Team. Integrated Student & Family Empowerment Authentic Outreach & Re-engagement: Proactively build trust with families by utilizing culturally responsive, "meet-them-where-they-are" strategies (e.g., home visits, community-based meetups, and evening forums) to ensure all voices in our diverse student body are heard and valued. Inclusive Family Advocacy: Establish low-barrier, approachable feedback loops that empower families from all backgrounds to influence school practices and culture, moving beyond traditional meetings to create genuine partnerships that reflect the lived experiences of our local community Multi-Tiered Support (MTSS): Coordinate wrap-around services (health, mental health, and basic needs) within the school's MTSS framework to ensure equitable access to support. Holistic Wellness: Facilitate the integration of arts, social-emotional learning, and academic interventions, including tutoring. Site Collaboration & Resource Alignment: Serve as a core member of the School Leadership, Attendance, and Community Connections teams to ensure partner services are seamlessly integrated into the school's daily operations. Advise the Principal on strategically aligning partner resources to provide student enrichment, support family needs, and systematically eliminate barriers to student success. Strategic Partnerships & Expanded Learning Brokerage: Act as the primary point of contact for external agencies. Vet and align new partners (universities, cultural orgs., clinics) with the District's partnerships process. Extended Day/Year: Design and oversee enriched learning opportunities before/after school and during summer months, focusing on college and career readiness. Data, Communication & Climate Evidence-Based Decision Making: Collect and analyze data regarding student performance, attendance, and climate to identify gaps and refine service delivery. Restorative Culture: Support the implementation of restorative practices and conduct focus groups to ensure a culture of belonging, safety, and care. Liaison: Bridge communication between school-day staff, after-school providers, and families to ensure a unified student experience. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field; OR 5 years of proven community organizing experience with increasing responsibility. 3 to 5 years of experience in an educational or non-profit setting, preferably within Central MN. Proven experience in budget management. Key Competencies & Perspective: Lived Experience: Deep understanding of the systems our families navigate; lived experience with similar cultural, economic, or linguistic backgrounds is highly valued. Community Proximity: Deeply rooted in or holds a strong working knowledge of the specific neighborhoods, cultural organizations, and community assets within the St. Cloud area. Cultural Competency: High degree of aware ess in cross-cultural practices and a commitment to the diversity of family situations. Mediation Skills: Ability to negotiate complex "win-win" situations among diverse stakeholders. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data management systems. Logistics & Scheduling: 12-Month Commitment: This is a year-round position inclusive of the summer programming months. Variable Hours: Requires a highly flexible schedule with hours that vary weekly based on the needs of the school, community enrichment programs, and evening/weekend family events. Field Operations: Must be available to attend and facilitate off-site field trips, community visits, and partner meetings as required. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; Bilingual abilities strongly preferred.
