Duties/Responsibilities
Graduate from a formal education program in Practical Nursing required.
Experience
Previous nursing experience in a physician's office practice preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Valid Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of hire required.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Performs all phlebotomy skills, prepares specimens for transport to reference labs, and shows competency in performing in-clinic lab testing.
- Assists medical staff with examinations, treatments, and procedures according to nursing guidelines.
- Prepares and administers medications.
- Transcribes physician orders.
- Assesses learning needs of the patient/family; plans, provides, evaluates & documents patient/family education.
- Performs patient triage and schedules patient appointments.
- Makes referral and/or consult appointments and schedules patients for admission and/or outpatient diagnostic testing, obtaining preauthorizations and/or pre-certifications for insurance purposes.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation timely.
Graduate from a formal education program in Practical Nursing required.
