Duties/Responsibilities
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Phlebotomy Technician certification preferred.

The Clinical Laboratory Assistant performs patient blood collections and employee drug screenings while following established standards and practices.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Performs all skills of phlebotomy and glucose meter testing.
- Identifies patients according to the procedure being performed.
- Maintains specimen collection area and equipment to ensure productive use of the processing area.
- Documents and follows up on specimen integrity issues.
- Handles and processes all specimens going to the reference laboratory, including entering orders in the reference computer.
- Explains the process for blood collection before and during the procedure.
- Collects and handles drug screening collection and Breath Alcohol testing for employment required by the Department of Transportation.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Phlebotomy experience preferred.
