✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Care Worker (2nd shift) at St Clair Youth Treatment Center in Mt Clemens, Michigan

St Claire Youth Treatment Center, located in Mt. Clemens, is a secure, residential treatment program that serves male high school youth (ages 12-18) who have mental health, substance abuse and/or behavioral needs. As an Evidence-Based Mental Health Program (EBMH), St. Clair prescribes evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic services, involves the family and community, and offers diverse social and educational opportunities that fosters a culture of learning, growth, and achievement. The St. Clair campus features single rooms, an indoor gym, library classroom space, kitchen and dining hall, and outdoor basketball courts and green space.

Pay: starting at $20/hour

What you will do: Youth Care Workers provide safety and around-the-clock in person supervision of youth at a secure residential facility. In this role, you will provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual counseling and skill development. Youth Care Workers provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the youth’s needs; monitor and document behaviors and activities; and participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities. Youth Care Workers collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan.

To be considered you should: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen (we no longer test for THC), physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule: 8-hour swing shifts with an unpaid 30-minute lunch. 2 scheduled consecutive days off
