Summary
While performing duties related to St. Clair Hospital this position is responsible for the efficient repair and maintenance of specified medical equipment and systems in the hospital (e.g., diagnostic ultrasound equipment, x-ray imaging systems/equipment). Provides repair, preventive maintenance and first call support service to catherization labs, fluoroscopy, radiology, PET and CAT scan, and MRI systems, and will be involved in the capital equipment purchases and equipment evaluation process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of one of the following:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in radiological engineering, medical imaging theory and technical support.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in electronics, process control, or clinical engineering with at least four years previous radiological engineering experience.
- Ten years of previous radiological engineering experience.
- Knowledge of electronics and digital circuitry operation.
- Knowledge of personal computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Manufacturers training through prior work experience on imaging equipment.
