Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens, performing clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, performing preventive maintenance, and interpreting results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits. The MLS works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science ? OR ? Bachelor's in some other field of study AND completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program ? OR ? MT-HEW certification will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree

  • Relevant Experience

Certification and Licensure

  • ASCP eligible
