As our RN, you will assume responsibility for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient, advancing modern nursing through compassionate care.

- Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
- Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome. Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IV’s, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections. Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
- Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner. Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
- Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient. Provide patient/family education through assessment of patient/family learning readiness, needs, and ability.
- Provide teaching and evaluate effectiveness of teaching.

Job RequirementsRequired
- Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
- Active and unencumbered RN License in state of employment
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- ACLS from the American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- One year RN ED experience
- TNCC or TCAR within one year of hire
- Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly

We are reopening the 8 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at St. Catherine Hospital-Dodge! We will staff an intensivist 24 hours per day, and care for a wide range of patients from sepsis, COPD exacerbation, respiratory distress, pneumonia, heat failure, GI bleed, renal failure and overdose. We will take care of patients with arterial lines, central lines, intubations, procedures and telemetry monitoring for floor patients as well. We are on a mission to provide the best care for all patients, from pediatrics to geriatrics and all those in between. We can self-schedule and have a chance to develop a multitude of skills. We are looking for experienced nurses to care for a mix of medical and surgical ICU patients. The ICU has an attached cath lab and the nursing team will be able to care for cardiac and post cath patients. The patient unit will care for a mix of general and ICU patients. We will employ a 1:2-3 ratio for ICU patients based on acuity.

Salary : $32 - $52
