Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Administrative Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing administrative tasks.
NOTE: We will not start interviewing candidates until mid-July
Duties
- Answer phone and manage messages
- Produce weekly service bulletins
- Produce monthly calendars and service schedules
- Schedule liturgical ministers, email timely reminders to them
- Produce periodic newsletters, or print material as needed
- Maintain timesheets for hourly employees
- Archive important documentation
- Basic financial management, as needed
- Restore and maintain a clean (clutter-free) workspace
- Keep stock of various office and print supplies
- Maintain office equipment
- Send and receive mail as necessary
- Maintain a functioning website
- Assist in developing social media communications
- Maintain an up-to-date parish directory
- Create advertisements for events as needed
- Communicate important information to the parish as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles with strong clerical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong typing skills combined with attention to detail for data entry and proofreading tasks
- Experience in customer service or customer support roles with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism
- Effective time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities efficiently
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
