Description
Responsible to assist with the management of a competitive NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball program; assists with conditioning, practices, recruiting and academic monitoring.
Examples of Duties
In conjunction with the Head Coach, plans and executes a successful program that would include duties such as: conducting regular team practice sessions; coaching the student athletes, evaluating athletes performance in practice and competition; monitoring the conditioning and training of student athletes, advises and counsels student athletes regarding their obligations to comply with all rules and regulations related to financial aid and eligibility, as well as personal conduct and academics.

Arranges and conducts recruiting functions including off- and on-campus visits, evaluations and contacts of prospective student-athletes.

Performs administrative tasks such as academic monitoring, travel arrangements, scouting and film breakdown of opponents. Attends coaches’ preparatory meetings and implements strategies resulting from these meetings.

Full travel responsibilities in-and-out of sport season.

Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s Preferred.
Prior coaching experience at the college sports level or as a collegiate athlete.
First Aid, CPR, AED Required (or willingness to obtain).
