JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Graduation from High school with some advanced technical training.
Experience
Requires on-the-job training to become familiar with department procedures. Prefer health related field experience and/or allied health sciences with demonstrated knowledge in medical terminology, alphanumeric filing, knowledge of computers, copiers, and fax machines. Good communication skills. Experience with EMR preferred.

This position requires being seated at a computer monitor almost 95% of the time. A small amount of physical work which may include lifting a maximum of 10 pounds. Normal hospital environment. Close eye work and hearing within normal range. Oral communication. Operates computer and standard office equipment, and scanners. Occasional walking, bending, and climbing.
JOB SUMMARY
Records Coordinator: Performs a wide range of duties including departmental correspondence, answers phone and fills requests for information regarding continuation of care, etc. Maintains confidentiality of patient information at all times. Works with EMR system regarding data entry, chart retrieval, chart tracking, chart faxing, etc. Will be responsible for accuracy and currentness of records, expediting chart completion. Scheduler: Prepares, communicates and maintains schedules for staff assigned to home care, Total Life Healthcare Clinic, schedules all outside appointments for participants and coordinates transportation.
