$52.23 - $68.16 /hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Is a role model for the hospital's Patient Satisfaction effort, i.e. demonstrates AIDET principles when interacting with customers, subordinates and colleagues
- Demonstrates, supports and promotes strict adherence to the policies and procedures of Saint Bernardine Medical Center and those of the Surgical Services and instructs staff as needed for failing to follow appropriate protocol.
- Demonstrates knowledge regarding the cardiac disease process and the appropriate diagnostic and interventional process. Utilizes the Nursing Process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Documentation and Evaluation in preparing the patient for Cardiac, Surgical, or Radiologic procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacology including dosing, indications and contraindications of each drug. Ensuring the five "rights" of medication are adhered to. Also assures that controlled medications are accounted for and recorded per hospital policy.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the use of all specialized equipment related to Surgical Services and Cath Lab procedures.
Job Requirements
- Two years Critical Care, Med/Surg or Operating Room experience
- California Registered Nurse license, upon hire and
- Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire and
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 90 Days
