Job Summary and Responsibilities

The PACU Staff Nurse works under a Nurse Manager in conjunction with other staff nurses. Able to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific need, and to provide appropriate care. The nursing process is completed by providing quality patient care, assisting the physicians and interacting with personnel in other departments, all within the framework of the philosophy and policies established by St. Bernardine Medical Center. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.

Job Requirements

Minimum one year PACU experience or equivalent critical care experience

Licensure:

Current California RN License
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
