**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Scrub Tech to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team. The successful candidate will provide essential support in the operating room, ensuring surgical procedures are conducted efficiently and safely. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to work varying schedules as needed.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and organize the operating room with necessary surgical instruments and equipment prior to procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a sterile environment in accordance with healthcare standards and protocols.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and inform relevant staff of shortages or needs.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical team members, including surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and operating room spaces.
- Keep accurate records of surgical procedures conducted and any instruments used.
- Stay updated on the latest surgical techniques and innovations through ongoing training and education.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a certified surgical technologist program is preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Scrub Tech or in a surgical environment is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including possible evenings and weekends.
