What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Counselor position at St. Anthony Elementary?
A small Catholic school in Everett is seeking a compassionate and collaborative City Connects Counselor to support the academic, social, emotional, and personal development of students in grades PreK–8. The City Connects Counselor will assess the strengths and needs of each student and connect them with individualized supports and resources both within and outside of the school community.
Responsibilities
Establish and lead a Student Support Team and implement a process that identifies and responds to the strengths and developmental needs of every student.
Connect students with prevention, early intervention, and intensive support services that address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.
Develop and strengthen partnerships with community agencies and organizations to support students and families.
Collaborate closely with faculty and staff to implement the City Connects model effectively throughout the school.
Promote the City Connects philosophy and student support framework within the school and broader community.
Engage families and caregivers as partners in supporting student growth and academic success.
Teach Social Emotional Learning (SEL) classes for students in PreK–8.
Collect and maintain data related to student support services and program implementation
Qualifications
Required
Master’s degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
Licensure as one of the following:
Licensed School Counselor
Licensed Pupil Adjustment Counselor
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW/LCSW)
Experience working in a school setting
Demonstrated culturally responsive and inclusive practices
Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, faculty, and outside professionals
Salary : $40 - $43
