Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in the counties Plymouth, Suffolk and Norfolk MA, with the option to work remotely on a limited basis. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will work with clients to assess their mortgage needs and provide tailored loan options. Responsibilities include originating mortgage loans, assisting clients through the loan process, reviewing applications, collaborating with underwriting teams, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations. You will build strong relationships with customers and promote the credit union’s mortgage offerings within the community.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mortgage Lending, including knowledge of industry regulations and loan products
- Experience as a Loan Officer or working within the Mortgage Industry
- Familiarity with Underwriting processes and loan approval criteria
- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on relationship-building and client satisfaction
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in financial and mortgage software tools is beneficial
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
