This is a full-time, on-site role for a Licensed Professional Counselor, based in Glenn Dale, MD. The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide individual and group counseling services to support clients' mental health, emotional well-being, and personal growth. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining client records, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This role will involve providing trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and engaging in community outreach efforts to support clients’ overall progress and stability.
- Advanced counseling skills, including individual and group therapy experience
- Strong knowledge in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention strategies
- Ability to conduct mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in documenting clinical notes and maintaining confidentiality
- Licensed to practice as a professional counselor in Maryland (LCPC or equivalent)
- Experience working with children, youth, and families is highly preferred
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
