Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN to lead a team of Caregivers and Med Techs and ensure the highest standards of resident care in a memory care facility in Portland Oregon. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background community based care settings. This leadership role requires exceptional management skills, a deep understanding of the role of the RN in long term care, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative environment for both staff and residents.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Health Services department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices and promote quality resident outcomes.
- Supervise health services staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to foster professional development.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care.
- Monitor resident progress through regular assessments and documentation review while maintaining accurate medical records.
- Hold delegation for unlicensed assistive personnel.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in long term care settings; Assisted Living and/or Memory Care.
- Strong management skills with experience in supervising health services staff and leading teams effectively.
- Excellent leadership capabilities with a focus on resident-centered care and team collaboration.
- Proficient in documentation review processes and resident monitoring techniques.
- Ability to collaborate with the Resident Care Coordinator in developing comprehensive care plans that address the needs of residents.
