Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate and experienced Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with preschool-aged children. This role is essential in preparing children for future learning while ensuring a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore and succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool-aged children in alignment with school themes and the PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood.
- Establish a safe, nurturing, and creative classroom environment that supports exploration and growth.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Assess children’s developmental progress and maintain ongoing communication with parents through conferences and written reports.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Foster an inclusive and positive atmosphere aligned with the mission and values of St. Andrew’s Nursery School.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, NAEYC standards, and Nursery School policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience working with preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare or educational setting.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Early Childhood Education and/or Elementary Education, or Private Academic Certification for Nursery School/Kindergarten.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet PA Department of Education requirements.
