The Opportunity
We are seeking a self-motivated, outgoing Administrative Assistant to serve as the organizational heart of our church. This role is the primary point of contact for our congregation, supporting our Pastor, Church Council, and volunteers to ensure our mission runs smoothly.

Role Highlights
- Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week.
- Flexibility: Create a Monday–Friday schedule that works for your needs (during regular business hours).
- Compensation: Starting at $16/hour with paid time off.

Key Responsibilities
- Office Management: Handle core functions including answering phones, managing mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining an organized, professional office environment.
- Communications: Act as the primary hub for internal and external information. Proactively coordinate with church leadership to ensure the congregation stays informed.
- Scheduling & Facilities: Manage the congregational calendar and coordinate facility use for both internal and external community groups.
- Records & Data: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for membership, congregational activities, and essential documentation.
- Event Support: Help plan and coordinate church events by managing logistics, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring all necessary resources are in place.
Qualifications
- Professional Experience: Proven experience in an office or administrative role.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
- Interpersonal Skills: A welcoming demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Organization: High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Familiarity with faith communities or liturgical worship is a plus, but not required.
