As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dedicated and dynamic competitive dance coach to lead our talented dancers to continued excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for the dance team, focusing on technique, choreography, and performance quality.
- Lead engaging and motivating practice sessions, rehearsals, and workshops that inspire students to reach their full potential.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to dancers to support their growth and development.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to coordinate performances, competitions, and other dance-related events.
- Recruit a representative number of dancers each year for both the competition squad and the performance team.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes teamwork and camaraderie among dancers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or related field
- Extensive experience as a dancer and/or choreographer, with a strong background in various dance styles and techniques.
- Proven track record of coaching or teaching dance to individuals or groups of all ages.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate rehearsals and performances.
