Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and other core subjects.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes faith, respect, collaboration, and curiosity among students.
- Use diverse teaching methods, including learning technology tools and hands-on activities, to meet the varied needs of learners.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to foster disciples in Christ.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to support student success.
- Incorporate faith in your daily planning.
Skills
- Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in diverse settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Proficiency in using learning technology platforms and educational software to enhance instruction.
- Skilled in lesson planning in core areas and hands-on learning.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while fostering a nurturing environment.
- Experience in curriculum development.
- Current Nebraska Department Of Education Certification REQUIRED
