The Arts & Education Instructor plans and leads engaging classes in their area of expertise, including visual art, music, theater, STEM, or dance. This position creates a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where children can explore new interests, build skills, and express themselves.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Prepare and deliver organized, age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Create positive and engaging learning experiences for every participant.
• Arrive at least 15 minutes before class to prepare the space and materials.
• Attend all scheduled classes and required staff meetings.
• Set up, break down, and properly store program equipment and supplies.
• Communicate positively and professionally with participants, families, and coworkers.
• Adapt lessons and activities to meet changing situations and participant needs.
• Complete all required training and remain current in the instructor’s area of expertise.
SCHEDULE
In-person morning, evening, and weekend classes may be available.
• Strong background in visual art, music, theater, STEM, dance, or another related subject area.
• Experience working with children in group settings, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children.
• Dependable, creative, adaptable, and committed to participant safety.
• Strong teaching and communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to move quickly and respond appropriately to maintain participant safety.
• Ability to set up, move, and store program materials and equipment.
Salary : $16 - $20
