About the Role:
The EHS Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our manufacturing operations across the United States. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and other relevant federal and state laws.
- Proven experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies as they relate to safety and environmental performance.
- Advanced degree or additional certifications in EHS or related disciplines.
- Experience managing multi-site EHS programs and working with cross-functional teams in a large manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and management on EHS best practices, emergency response, and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to integrate safety and environmental considerations into daily activities and capital projects.
- Manage environmental programs including waste management, air emissions, water discharge, and chemical handling to minimize environmental impact.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and maintain accurate documentation of EHS activities and compliance status.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing safety metrics, benchmarking, and implementing innovative solutions.
