Job Description:

SSTAR’s clinical team provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services in a safe and welcoming environment! The clinician provides individual, group, and family counseling to people affected by addiction and or/mental illness. The licensed clinician may also have opportunities to provide clinical supervision to other team members.

Clinician Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a minimum of 100 hours of direct client service per month. Maintain case records in compliance with agency standards.
- Provide individual, group and family counseling sessions. Provide required clinical documentation and maintain case records in compliance with agency standards.
- Complete Biopsychosocial comp assessments.
- Conducts Suicide assessment using the Columbia Suicide Assessment too at initial visit. Continues to use CSA during treatment as clinically indicated from previous scoring.
- Participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings.
- Participate in weekly group supervision and biweekly individual clinical supervision.
- Communicate with referring agencies and others on behalf of the client.
- Respond to crisis situations as requested.
- Participate in weekly group supervision and individual clinical supervision.
- Perform case management functions as necessary for specific clients.
- Communicate, as indicated, with referring agencies and others on behalf of the client.
- Respond to crisis situations as requested.
- Share on-call coverage as requested by Clinical Manager and/or Program Director.
Experience and Skills:
Clinician Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or a related discipline.
- LICSW, LMHC, LADC1, preferred.
- Massachusetts license in appropriate discipline.
Clinician Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- An understanding of the relationship between substance abuse and mental health issues and/or self-help programs
- Diagnostic skills and case management ability
- Promote and enhance one’s knowledge about the symptoms of psychiatric illness and addiction
- Interagency collaboration
- Ability to facilitate a group/lecture
- Ability to set limits and enforce rules
- An understanding of boundaries and ethics
- Intermediate computer skills
Salary : $64,000 - $70,000
