POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o High School GED or Diploma (Bachelors preffered)
o Minimum of 2 years of working with youth preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Staff members will work with your child to complete all assignments that are presented by the student during the dedicated homework time.
Program Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and implement daily and weekly schedules for both morning and afternoon programs.
- Plan and lead enrichment activities such as arts and crafts, games, STEM projects, and reading time.
- Ensure all activities are aligned with the developmental needs and interests of students.
Supervision and Safety:
- Supervise students during program hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor student sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Enforce behavior expectations and school policies consistently and fairly.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise program aides or volunteers as needed.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and scheduling for support staff.
- Ensure appropriate staff-to-student ratios are maintained.
Communication:
- Serve as the main point of contact for families regarding the program.
- Communicate regularly with parents, school administration, and teachers about student participation and concerns.
- Promote the program to families and encourage enrollment.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain program budget and submit supply orders.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health standards, and district policies.
- Submit reports on student participation, incidents, and overall program evaluation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in education, child development, or related field preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational or recreational setting.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours (e.g., 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM).
