We are seeking a Production Planner for a direct hire opportunity in New Britain, CT.Pay: $70-95K based on experienceSchedule: Mon – Fri (7 am -4 pm)Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees including paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, paid holidays, a 401K retirement plan, disability insurance, and more.Overview: The Production planner manages the ERP system to meet customer needs. In addition, this candidate will need to expediate orders through manufacturing as required to meet customer delivery requirements.Responsibilities:Schedule production jobs and workflowDevelop shop schedules – by creating and maintaining work orders. Review work order action required report and ensured due dates are aligned with the customer requirements. Determine if the dates are realistic and achievable to available capacity and resources. Issue material requisitions to purchasing. The production planner schedules product lines to meet changing monthly forecasts while managing inventory levels. Create weekly production timetable.Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products, as well as planning and prioritizing operations in a manner that guarantees maximum performance with reduced delay. Design weekly manufacturing plan to meet target load objectives and satisfy the organization’s inventory and shipment plan goals. Support customer service on new customer requests inside of standard lead time. Participate in daily production meetings to track performance and identify work orders slipping and determine plans to get back on schedule working with production departments as required.
