Responsibilities for Fire Sprinkler Designer:
- Responsible for producing suitable (i.e., profitably buildable) fire protection system shop drawings from customer's plans, with appropriate hydraulic calculations.
- Preparation of required submittal packages and material and equipment lists for system fabrication and installation.
- Must be able to visualize three dimensional concepts implicit in two dimensional prints.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Minimum 1 year experience in Fire Protection Design.
- Several years’ experience in preparing and interpreting blueprints, schematics, shop drawings, instructions manuals, and technical specifications.
- High School graduate, or G.E.D. equivalent required
- Some college, especially courses in advanced mathematics, blueprint preparation and interpretation, project management, and related subjects preferred
- Valid Driver's License
- Level-Ill Certification NICET (National Institute for Certification of Engineering Technologies)
